Train much industry, the history of Atlas model trains is a story of vision, entrepreneurship and hard work, combined with a passion for a hobby that resulted in a company which grew bigger than what anyone would have thought in the beginning, like other companies in the model.
Atlas Model Trains origin goes back to the first decades of the twentieth century, when Stephan Schaffan SR. founded what would become the Atlas Model Trains. at that time, it was a tool company, not a model train company and Stephan Schaffan SR. was so undermanned, that he had the son Stephan Schaffan Jr. come and help him with the company.
Stephan Schaffan Jr. file handling pleased with the money he earned in his father's company (if he earned anything at all).He was a desired machines young and inventive man.He would go after work and built model plastic surfaces on his house. There was a local aircraft model shop where he lived, and he will visit it often. "he used to pester the owner to ask for a hand-job, which he could do to earn some extra money, which the owner would always deny.
However, one day, the owner of the store grew so tired of Stephan Jr. requests, which he gave him some old railways and model trains, he does not want to use longer, in the hope that Stephan would go away and leave him alone.
A little, he knew that these old railroad tracks and models, which he discarded so easily would ultimately what today is known as Atlas Model Trains.
Stephan Jr. went back home and work on these trains.Become an inventive and intelligent young man, he designed a switch set, which would become a staple of the Atlas Model Trains, and allowed the user to start and stop the trains by controlling the voltage on the tracks.
Later invented Stephan Jr. more products, the company will grow even more, while his father's business began to see small in comparison. the original name was dropped anywhere along the line, and the company took the name of Atlas Model Railroad, although most people are familiar with it by the name of Atlas Model Trains.
Now invented Stephan with Atlas Model Trains officially existing, multiple units, which saved work for people enjoyed model train hobby. for example, he invented the pre-assembles tracks saved his customers with the problem of assembling it himself.
